Statewide COVID Cases Spike Above 100 Thursday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 122 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday. The statewide total is now 32,232. One new COVID-related death was also reported.
The state’s two-week average is 80 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 24,749
Maui: 3,371
Hawai‘i: 2,687
Kaua‘i: 231
Lana‘i: 111
Moloka‘i: 37
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,046
A total of 2,131 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 483 have died.
To date, a total of 1,191,481 doses of COVID-19 vaccination have been administered statewide.
