Statewide COVID Averages Continue to Dip Slightly

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 87 new cases of coronavirus Friday, raising the statewide total to 30,571. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is 88 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.7%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the state’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 23,603
Maui: 3,078
Hawai‘i: 2,561
Kaua‘i: 199
Lana‘i: 111
Moloka‘i: 34
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 985

A total of 2,039 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 470 people have died.
