DOH Reports 112 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 112 new cases of coronavirus Saturday, raising the statewide total to 30,039. Four new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is 100 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.8%.
According to a DOH map, which tracks cases of the virus by district across all islands, at least 61 new cases have been identified in the greater Hilo area over the previous two weeks, while at least 30 have been reported in the Kailua-Kona area. Other districts are also reporting cases, though generally fewer than 10 over the previous two-week period.

A total of 2,009 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 467 people have died.
DOH reported that 634,442 doses of the vaccine had been administered across all islands as of Saturday.
