DOH Reports 114 New Cases of COVID Statewide Thursday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 114 new cases of coronavirus Thursday, raising the statewide total to 29,794. Zero new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Thursday is the seventh day in the last eight days that Hawai‘i has registered at least 100 new cases. The state’s two-week average is 98 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.9%.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 23,134
Maui: 2,886
Hawai‘i: 2,487
Kaua‘i: 191
Lana‘i: 111
Moloka‘i: 34
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 951
A total of 1,997 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 463 people have died.
DOH reported that 634,442 doses of the vaccine had been administered across all islands as of Thursday.
