Kaua‘i Reports 1 New COVID Case Sunday
The Hawai‘i State Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office reported one new case of COVID-19 on Sunday, Jan. 10.
The case is an adult male resident whose source of infection is community-acquired. All active cases are in isolation, and one case remains hospitalized on O‘ahu. Close contacts are being identified, directed to quarantine, and offered testing.
Sunday’s case brings the number of active cases to 21, with 194 cumulative cases. Kaua‘i’s cumulative case count includes 167 confirmed locally, one probable, and 26 positive cases diagnosed elsewhere, as they received their pre-travel test results after arriving on island.
