New COVID-19 Case Identified on Kaua‘i After Weeks of No New, Active Infections

One new positive COVID-19 case has been identified on Kaua‘i after several weeks of no new or active infections, bringing the overall total of cases to 58.
According to the Kaua‘i District Health Office, the new case is a female resident and is currently in isolation. The source of her infection appears to be related to mainland travel, and she has been in travel quarantine since her return to Kaua‘i.
The Department of Health completed its contact tracing investigation and all close contacts have been directed to quarantine and offered a test.
