Kaua‘i weekly lane closures: July 20-26

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for July 20-26. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

PUHI TO KIPU (NIGHT WORK)

Right-side lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between Anonoui Street and Kipu Road on July 24 and July 26 from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for guardrail clearing.

KIPU (NIGHT WORK)

Right-side lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between Kipu Road and Pu‘uana Road on July 22 from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for guardrail clearing.

LĀWA‘I

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 9.5 and 11, in the vicinity of Kauhale Road and Lauoho Road from July 22 through July 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tree trimming.

KALĀHEO TO ‘ELE‘ELE

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 11 to 13, in the vicinity of Lauoho Road from July 22 through July 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for grass cutting.

KALĀHEO TO HANAPEPE

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 13 to 17, in the vicinity of Lele Road from July 22 through July 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting and guardrail clearing.

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway from July 22 through July 26, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping and sign installations.

HANAMAULU (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 2.31 and 2.59, in the vicinity of Akilolo Street and Kapule Highway from July 22 through July 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping.

LĪHU‘E (NIGHTWORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction, between milepost 3.5 and 4, in the vicinity of Marine Camp and Wailua Golf Course from July 25 through the morning of July 26, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

LĪHU‘E (NIGHTWORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between milepost 4.5 and 5, in the vicinity of Wailua Golf Course from July 24 through the morning of July 25, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

KAPA‘A TO KEALIA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Waikaea Bridge and Mailihuna Road from July 21 through July 26, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing.

KEALIA TO ANAHOLA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kealia Road and Aliomanu Road from July 22 through July 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping.

KEALIA (NIGHTWORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between milepost 11.5 and 12 from July 23 through the morning of July 24, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

ANAHOLA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between milepost 10.26 and 14.58, in the vicinity of Kapuna Road from July 21 through the morning of July 22, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

MOLOA‘A (NIGHTWORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction, between milepost 15.5 and 16, in the vicinity of Papa‘a Road from July 22 through the morning of July 23, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road and Ka Haku Road, on July 21 through July 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for highway reconstruction.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road from July 22 through July 26, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for installation of soil anchors at the bottom of Hanalei Hill, as well as vegetation maintenance.

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 1.28 and 2.33 from July 22 through July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (ROUTES 550) —

KOKE‘E (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction between milepost 11.5 and 14 from July 21 through July 26 from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. for road widening and paving. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTES 580) —

Single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction, between Kūhiō Highway and Leimomi Street from July 21 through July 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing.
