The announcement comes exactly 14 years after Amber Jackson’s body was found in a remote and inaccessible part of the island in Kealia, after she had been reported missing on June 23, 2010.

A subsequent autopsy showed that she had died from blunt-force trauma to the head and had injuries consistent with an assault.

To date, no arrests have been made, and the case is still under investigation.
