Update: 16-year-old runaway from Puhi returns to his family safely
Update at 9:20 a.m. April 19: Kaua‘i police report that 16-year-old Akoni Bermoy returned to his family safely the night of April 18. No injuries were reported.
Original post: The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a runaway juvenile.
Akoni Bermoy, a 16-year-old resident of Puhi, was reported missing on April 12. He was last seen in the Hanapēpē area.
Bermoy is 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has a tan complexion, wavy brown hair and is of Filipino decent.
He is known to frequent the Līhu‘e and Puhi areas.
