New hours begin April 1 for Kaua‘i police records services, firearms registration

The Kaua‘i Police Department is changing the hours of operation for its Records Section and firearms registration services beginning April 1.

The Records Section window will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Firearms registration services will be available from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The department’s Records Section is adopting the new schedule in an effort to significantly increase the public’s accessibility for walk-up window hours to include early morning, late afternoon and lunch hours.

People who are unable to visit during the designated open hours can call 808-241-1929 or contact the Records Section via email at kpdrecords@kauai.gov for assistance.
