Kaua‘i police seek help finding missing Līhu‘e man

The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Līhu‘e man.

Seventy-six-year-old William Birkholz was reported missing on Monday. He was last seen near Nāwiliwili Small Boat Harbor on Saturday.

Birkholz is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds and has blue eyes and grey hair. He is known to frequent the beach area known as Kitchens and Lydgate Beach Park.

Anyone with information about Birkholz’s whereabouts on Kaua‘i is urged to call KPD Dispatch at 808-241-1711. Those wishing to remain anonymous can provide information by calling Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at 808-246-8300, submitting a tip at cskauai.org, or through the Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i P3 Tips Mobile App.
