8:09 a.m. Jan. 25 update: Jermaine K. Tolentino returned to his family safely Wednesday night. No injuries were reported.

Original post: The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old boy who was reported as a runaway.

Jermaine K. Tolentino, a 13-year-old resident of Kōloa, was reported missing on Jan. 22. He was last seen on Monday morning while getting ready to attend a local middle school.

His current whereabouts are not known, but he is known to frequent the Līhu‘e and Kōloa areas.

Jermaine is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. He has a slim build and medium complexion, brown hair, brown eyes and is of Filipino descent. He was last seen wearing a green Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School t-shirt, black pajama pants and a black hat.
