The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center will host its monthly donation event at the Kaua‘i Resource Center on Friday.

Residents, businesses and other organizations can bring items to the resource center, located at 3460 Ahukini Rd. in Līhu‘e from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Accepted donations include clothing, small furniture, children’s toys, books and shoes.

Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition. Torn or stained clothing is OK. Do not bring eWaste, chemicals, appliances, or broken items. The public is encouraged to check with the local thrift stores to see if they are capable of taking donations before bringing items to the resource center.

Due to health and safety concerns due to heavy equipment in the area and to reduce the chance of injury to customers unloading heavy items, the Salvation Army requests that the public remain in their vehicles while on-site.
