Robbery, auto theft suspect Sateki Nisa held on $402,000 bail

Sateki Nisa, 27, of Pāhoa, Hawai‘i Island, is currently being held on bail of $402,000 after being charged with the following:

  • Resisting an Order to Stop a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree and Driving Without a License;
  • Theft in the First Degree, Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle, Use of Deadly or Dangerous Weapon in the Commission of a Crime; and
  • Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle, two counts of Theft of Credit Card, Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information, and Driving Without a License.

Nisa was arrested earlier this month after spending a week on the lam. According to a preliminary report, Kaua‘i Police Department personnel received a report of a robbery that occurred at Ahukini Landing in Līhu‘e on Nov. 13 at 8:40 p.m. A man fitting Sateki Nisa’s description held the operator of a Toyota Corolla at gunpoint and took off with the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
