Brown Water Advisory for the North Shore of Kaua‘i

A Brown Water Advisory has been issued for the North Shore of Kaua‘i.

Heavy rain and high surf have resulted in surface runoff entering coastal waters. The public is advised to stay out of waters that appear brown or turbid due to the possible presence of pollutants in the runoff.

Not all coastal waters may be impacted; however, if the water is brown or turbid, stay out. Continue to practice good personal hygiene and follow-up with your primary care physician if you have any health concerns.
