Kaua‘i police identify man found in waters off Waika‘ea Canal in Kapa‘a

Kaua‘i police have identified the decedent found on Oct. 17 in waters off the Waika‘ea Canal as 49-year-old Kevin Kaui of Kapa‘a.

“We would like to thank the public for their help in identifying Mr. Kaui and for the information we’ve received so far in this investigation,” said Kennison Nagahisa, Acting Captain of KPD’s Investigative Services Bureau. “We offer our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones during this very difficult time.”

The investigation remains ongoing, but foul play is not a suspected factor at this time.
