The Princeville Public Library will temporarily close for a major renovation project beginning next week.

The last day for full library services and to pick-up requests will be Saturday before the closure on Oct. 30. The bookdrop will close at 4 p.m. that day and will remain locked for the duration of the renovation project. No book donations will be accepted during the closure.

During this major renovation project, a small pop-up location offering limited services is planned for the library’s parking lot. The opening of the pop-up location is anticipated for late November.

The pop-up location’s daily hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, 9 to 11 a.m.; and 1 to 4 p.m. except on state holidays. Patrons may browse and borrow from a small collection of materials, pick up holds, return borrowed items, and access limited wi-fi service.

At this time, the renovation project is scheduled to be completed by October 2024. The opening date of the pop-up and future updates will be posted on Princeville Library’s web page at: librarieshawaii.org/branch/princeville-public-library/
