The Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority is sponsoring the East Meets West conference, which will be held at Aloha Tower Marketplace in Honolulu on May 18 and 19.

The annual event is dedicated to building bridges to startup communities across the Pacific by bringing together individuals from different backgrounds to exchange ideas and perspectives.

The conference will feature a talented group of international speakers, several breakout sessions about global startup trends in technology and innovation, and opportunities to network with professionals and investors throughout the United States and Asia.

Additionally, there will be dedicated sessions focusing on travel technology pertaining to leisure travel activities, innovative accommodations and regenerative tourism.

By supporting this conference, Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority is advancing action H.1 in the community-based Oʻahu Destination Management Action Plan, which states to “continue [encouraging] the visitor industry to prioritize purchase of Hawai‘i based, ‘āina friendly products, services and technology solutions.”
