Hop over to Kōloa Landing Resort in Po‘ipū for Easter brunch and Rubba Duckie Race
This Easter, take a break and let someone else do the cooking by hopping over to Kōloa Landing Resort in Po‘ipū.
Kaua‘i residents, resort guests and their families are invited to an Easter brunch buffet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9 at the resort. Indulge in local favorites, tickle your taste buds at the sweet shop and let the kids fill up from a special keiki buffet.
The buffet will include prime rib, sugarcane-glazed ham, a build-your-own omelet station and fresh pancakes. Other brunch bites such as fresh fruit, pasta salad, Kaua‘i kim chee fried rice, Chef Sam Choy’s kalbi, Eggs Florentine, maple bacon, Asian steamed local fish, deep fried California roll, fresh caught ‘ahi sashimi and tempura also will be offered. A cash bar will be available as well.
The keiki buffet will feature mac and cheese, piggies in a blanket, chicken fingers and fries. Sweet shop offerings will include assorted pastries such as strawberry petit fours, chocolate cream puffs, key lime tart and cranberry cookies.
Easter brunch is $85 for adults and $55 for children ages 9 years old and younger. To make a reservation, email events@koloalandingresort.com.
Families are also invited to enjoy an afternoon of activities. Take selfies with the Easter Bunny, revel in a few lawn games and get your face painted. And for the first time, the resort is hosting a Rubba Duckie Race from noon to 2 p.m. at the main pool.
All activities are free with brunch and children 9 and younger will receive a rubber duck with their meal to enter the race. One winner of each race will receive a complimentary two-night stay in a two-bedroom villa.
Starting today (Saturday, April 1), non-Easter brunch resort guests and island residents can call the concierge desk at (808) 240-6609 to enter the race with a $10 donation for a rubber duck. All proceeds go to the Kaua‘i Charity Walk, which supports nonprofits around the island.
