The Kauaʻi County Agency on Elderly Affairs invites the public to submit nominations for the 2023 Outstanding Older Americans recognition.

“Every May, during Older Americans Month, we pay tribute to older adults 65 years and older who play vital, positive roles in our communities,” said Kealoha Takahashi, executive for the Agency on Elderly Affairs.

This year’s theme, “Aging Unbound,” offers an opportunity to explore diverse aging experiences and discuss how communities can combat stereotypes about aging.

Nomination forms are available at the Agency on Elderly Affairs at the Līhu‘e Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building, Suite 330, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interested individuals must call 808-241-4470 to access the building.

Nomination forms also can be emailed by contacting the agency at 808-241-4470 or elderlyaffairs@kauai.gov.
