New Case Counts Continue to Drop

The state Department of Health reported 533 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 227,817. No new fatalities were reported.

A total of 38 new infections were identified Tuesday on the Garden Isle.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

• O‘ahu: 158,838
• Hawaiʻi: 24,615
• Maui: 27,010
• Kaua‘i: 10,568
• Moloka‘i: 891
• Lana‘i: 582
• Pending: 0
• Out-of-State: 5,313

A total of 7,756 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,226 have died.
