DOH Reports 214 New COVID Cases Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 214 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 89,593. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

Kauaʻi County no longer has the highest test positivity rate in the state, coming in third behind Hawaiʻi County, which has a 2.2% test positivity rate and Honolulu County with a 2.8% test positivity rate.

Kauaʻi County reports a seven-day case average of nine.

The state’s daily case average is now 152, with a test positivity rate of 2.3%. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 60,812
Hawaiʻi: 11,892
Maui: 10,190
Kaua‘i: 3,285
Moloka‘i: 255
Lana‘i: 145
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 3,014

A total of 5,127 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,058 have died.
