108 New COVID Cases Confirmed Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 108 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 87,772. Eight new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

Kauaʻi County continues to have the highest test positivity rate in the state at 3.6% and a seven-day case average of 13.

The state’s seven-day average is now 78 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

A total of 5,040 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,026 have died.
