COVID-19 vaccinations for keiki ages 5-11 are now available at a variety of locations island-wide.

Wilcox Medical Center in Līhuʻe started offering the shot to children on Nov. 3, a day after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the Pfizer vaccine for this age group Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Keiki vaccines will also be available at Kaiser Permanente Līhuʻe Clinic, Longs Pharmacy in Līhuʻe and the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH) in Waimea.

Kaua‘i health officials are urging parents to protect their children by getting them vaccinated as soon as possible. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The vaccine is free; no insurance is needed.
