DOH Reports Lowest State COVID Totals in Weeks on Monday
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 49 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 81,663. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of six new infections were identified on the Big Island Tuesday. The state’s seven-day average is now 162 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 2.7%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 56,553
Hawai‘i: 10,498
Maui: 9,285
Kaua‘i: 2,431
Moloka‘i: 235
Lana‘i: 140
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,521
A total of 4,518 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 845 have died.
To date, a total of 2,082,001 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 69.6% of the state’s population fully vaccinated and 77.9% who have received at least one shot.
