Hawaiʻi Closes in on 2 Million Vaccine Doses Administered
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 255 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the statewide total to 78,404. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 339 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 4.2%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 54,541
Hawai‘i: 9,889
Maui: 9,000
Kaua‘i: 2,215
Moloka‘i: 222
Lana‘i: 139
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,398
A total of 4,249 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 757 have died.
To date, a total of 1,997,849 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 67.7% of the population fully vaccinated and 75.9% having received at least one shot.
