Hawaiʻi Records Another Day of Double-Digit COVID Deaths Thursday
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 445 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 76,966. Twelve new COVID-related fatalities were also reported for the second consecutive day.
A total of 30 new infections were identified on Kaua´i Thursday.
The state’s two-week average is now 421 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 5%.

A total of 4,167 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 738 have died.
To date, a total of 1,979,534 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 67% of the population fully vaccinated and 75.4% who have received at least one dose.
