DOH Reports Nearly 500 New COVID Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 493 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 73,268. Eleven new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 566 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 6.7%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Hawai‘i: 9,111
Maui: 8,504
Kaua‘i: 1,829
Moloka‘i: 185
Lana‘i: 137
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,277
A total of 3,945 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 671 have died.
To date, a total of 1,942,478 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 65.8% of the population fully vaccinated and 74.1% who have received at least one dose.
