DOH Reports 423 New COVID Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 423 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 72,775. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
A total of 41 new infections were identified on the Big Island Monday. As of Monday, Sept. 13, the Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reported 1,376 active cases, with 51 persons hospitalized.
The state’s two-week average is now 557 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 6.8%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Hawai‘i: 9,022
Maui: 8,442
Kaua‘i: 1,810
Moloka‘i: 182
Lana‘i: 137
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,271
A total of 3,883 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 660 have died.
To date, a total of 1,938,318 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 65.6% of the population fully vaccinated and 74% who have received at least one dose.
