DOH Reports Nearly 66K COVID-19 Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 865 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 65,890. Seven new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 867 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.5%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 46,331
Maui: 7,691
Hawai‘i: 7,998
Kaua‘i: 1,408
Moloka‘i: 162
Lana‘i: 132
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,168
A total of 3,578 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 613 have died.
To date, a total of 1,882,907 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 63.8% of the population fully vaccinated at 72.1% who have received at least one shot.
