DOH Reports Over 1K New Cases Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 1,068 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 65,025. Four new COVID-related deaths were reported.

The state’s two-week average is now 881 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.7%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 45,779
Maui: 7,554
Hawai‘i: 7,867
Kaua‘i: 1,366
Moloka‘i: 162
Lana‘i: 132
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,165

A total of 3,578 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 606 have died.

To date, a total of 1,877,187 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 63.6% of the population fully vaccinated at 71.9% who have received at least one shot.
