DOH Reports 938 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 938 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 60,551. Five new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 745 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 8.2%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 42,627
Maui: 7,118
Hawai‘i: 7,216
Kaua‘i: 1,188
Moloka‘i: 158
Lana‘i: 129
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,115
A total of 3,370 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 587 have died.
To date, a total of 1,848,431 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 62.6% of the population fully vaccinated at 70.9% who have received at least one shot.
