DOH Reports 625 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 625 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 57,747. Eight new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 687 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 8.3%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 40,751
Maui: 6,809
Hawai‘i: 6,740
Kaua‘i: 1,087
Moloka‘i: 153
Lana‘i: 128
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,079
A total of 3,251 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 573 have died.
To date, a total of 1,838,603 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 62.3% of the population fully vaccinated at 70.6% who have received at least one shot.
