Hawai‘i Surpasses 38K COVID Cases Since Start of Pandemic
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 48 new cases of coronavirus statewide Monday, bringing the overall total to 38,043. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is 45 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.7%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Maui: 3,893
Hawai‘i: 3,220
Kaua‘i: 389
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 56
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,339
A total of 2,490 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 518 have died.
To date, a total of 1,690,038 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide. That number may be incomplete.
