DOH Reports Lower Virus Counts Monday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 22 new cases of coronavirus statewide Monday, bringing the overall total to 37,669. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is 40 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 27,047
Maui: 3,867
Hawai‘i: 3,185
Kaua‘i: 358
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 56
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,301
A total of 2,461 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 516 have died.
To date, 58% of Hawai´i has been fully vaccinated, while 62% of the resident population have received at least one dose.
