DOH Identifies 36 New COVID Infections
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 36 new cases of coronavirus Thursday. The statewide total is now 37,170. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is 47 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.0%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,789
Maui: 3,800
Hawai‘i: 3,088
Kaua‘i: 339
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,255
A total of 2,405 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 507 have died.
To date, a total of 1,627,801 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide.
