One New COVID-Related Death Reported Friday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 78 new cases of coronavirus Friday. The statewide total is now 36,871. One new COVID-related death was reported.
The state’s two-week average is 51 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 0.9%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,660
Maui: 3,754
Hawai‘i: 3,024
Kaua‘i: 324
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,225
A total of 2,378 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 506 have died.
To date, a total of 1,592,739 vaccine doses have been administered statewide.
