Hawai‘i Approaches 36K COVID Cases
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 50 new cases of coronavirus Wednesday. The statewide total is now 35,974. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is 50 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.0%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,238
Maui: 3,617
Hawai‘i: 2,800
Kaua‘i: 315
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 54
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,176
A total of 2,302 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 496 have died.
To date, a total of 1,480,432 shots of vaccine have been administered statewide.
