No injuries reported following vehicle and debris fire in Kapa‘a

No injuries were reported after crews extinguished a vehicle and debris fire in Kapa‘a on Wednesday.

According to Kaua‘i County officials, firefighters were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire on Kahuna Road shortly before 3:30 p.m. Personnel from the Kapa‘a and the Kaiakea fire stations, Tender 1, and the on-duty battalion chief responded to the incident.

After arriving shortly after 3:45 p.m., firefighters discovered brush, debris, and an old bucket truck on fire. Firefighters controlled and later extinguished the fire.

Firefighters cleared the scene shortly before 5 p.m. Damages to the structure and contents are estimated at $4,000.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
