Lane closures and intermittent road closures along portions of Pu’uwai Road in Kalāheo are scheduled to allow crews to trim and remove trees growing along the roadway.

The Department of Public Works and its contractor The Cutting-Edge Land Clearing Solutions will begin work on Aug. 19 and continue into the next day, weather permitting.

The contractor will be performing lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with intermittent 15–30-minute full road closures throughout the work day in the vicinity of Onu Place.

Motorists are advised to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary lane closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.

Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
