Innovators encouraged to apply for Kaua‘i County grant program
Are you a thinker? Have a creative idea for a business? How about a unique way to develop the Garden Isle’s workforce? Or maybe you’re just an all-around innovator?
If you’re one of those square pegs who doesn’t fit in the round hole, the Kaua‘i County Office of Economic Development has a grant program right up your alley.
The office is accepting applications for fiscal year 2025 Innovation Grants through the Amplifund Grants contract management system through 4:30 p.m. Sept. 3.
The intent of the program is to deploy innovation on Kaua‘i in small business, technology, transportation, agriculture, local manufacturing, creative industries, workforce development, circular economies, tourism destination management and product development.
Proposals must identify a known deficiency, problem or need within the community and institute an innovative project that will be or has been successful in other contexts.

Applications will not be accepted via mail, email or fax. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
Applicants will be notified of funding awards the week of Oct. 21. The funding period Nov. 1 to Oct. 31, 2025.
The Office of Economic Development will host an informational webinar at 10 a.m. Aug. 14 to provide an overview of the Innovation Grants and review the application process.
A recording of the webinar will also be available on the Kaua‘i Forward website by Aug. 16 for those who are unable to attend the live session.
