Kaua‘i weekly lane closures: June 29-July 5
Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for June 29 to July 5.
In observance of the Fourth of July, there will be no contraflow or lane closure unless otherwise permitted. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —
PUHI TO KOLOA
Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Anonui Street and Kahili Road, on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3 and Friday, July 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting and guardrail clearing.
KALĀHEO TO ‘ELE‘ELE
Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 12.26 and 15.90, in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Waialo Road, on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3 and Friday, July 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting and guardrail clearing.
HANAPĒPĒ TO KAUMAKANI
Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Lele Road and Kaumakani Road, on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3 and Friday, July 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for shoulder grading.

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Rice Street and Hardy Street, on Wednesday, July 3 from 2 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for clearing curbs.
LĪHU‘E TO HANAMAULU
Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday July 3 and Friday, July 5, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping and sign installations.
HANAMAULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Akilolo Street and Kapule Highway, on Sunday, June 30 through Tuesday, July 2, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping.
WAIPOULI (NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Pahini Road and Pono Kai, on Tuesday, July 2 from 2 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for clearing curbs.
KALIHIWAI TO PRINCVILLE
Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kalihiwai Road and the Princeville Airport, on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.
KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road and Ka Haku Road, on Sunday, June 30, through Wednesday July 3, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for highway reconstruction.
PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI
Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for installation of soil anchors at the bottom or Hanalei Hill. Alternating traffic will be allowed through the open lane.

Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction, between mile post 11.5 and 14, on Sunday, June 30 through Wednesday, July 3, from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. for road widening and paving. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

Single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction, between mile post 0 and 3.9, in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway and Hawaiiana Road, on Sunday, June 30 through Wednesday, July 3, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for BMP installation and paving layout. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

Right lane closure on Ma‘alo Road (Route 583) possible in either direction, between mile post 3.66 and 3.79, on Saturday, June 29, from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. for cutting grass and trees.

Right lane closure of Kapa‘a Bypass Road (Route 5600)in the southbound direction, between mile post 0.76 to 0.77, in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway and Olohena Road, on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, June 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting. Traffic must enter Kapa‘a Bypass via Olohena Road roundabout.
