A University of Hawai’i beginner farmer training program is hosting an open house at its Kauaʻi site on June 1 and is encouraging interested participants to register.

The GoFarm Hawaiʻi Program will hold an open house on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Kauaʻi Community College Campus in Lihuʻe.

“We’ll take you for a short tour of the training site, give you a chance to talk story with our farm coach, network with current and potential students, and learn more about the program timelines and process,” the GoFarm Hawaiʻi Team said in a recent statement.

Anyone interested in joining the farmer training program, as well as community members and organizations looking to collaborate, is encouraged to attend. The event is free, but participation is limited and registration is required.

The GoFarm Hawaiʻi Team can be reached at info@gohawaii.org for those who have any questions about the open house or initiative.
