Kaua‘i, start your engines: PMRF hosting fourth annual car show this Saturday

The US Navy’s Pacific Missile Range Facility is hosting its Fourth Annual Auto Skills Car Show at its on-base restaurant Shenanigans this Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event on the West Side of Kaua‘i is open to the public and will feature customized vehicles including muscle cars, classic cars, custom bikes, hot rods, race cars, custom trucks and more. Ninety show vehicles have been registered for the event. Vendors will have automotive products for sale; food and beverages will be available for purchase.

“MWR Auto Skills Center is excited and ready to kick off another great car show event here at PMRF and for the residents of Kauai to enjoy a day of viewing some of the hottest show vehicles on the island,” said event organizer and MWR Auto Skills Center Manager Steve Swacker.

The car show has 10 categories:

  • Hot rods
  • Race cars
  • Jr. dragsters
  • Antique cars/trucks
  • Muscle cars
  • Street class
  • Volkswagen/Manx
  • Custom bikes
  • Classic cars/trucks
  • Custom truck/4×4/SUV

The event will feature door prizes donated by vendors. Attendees can vote for their favorite
vehicles, and the winners will receive trophies.
