Intermittent roadwork scheduled for various roads in ‘Ele‘ele throughAug. 14

The Department of Public Works and its contractor Insituform Technologies, LLC., are advising motorists that intermittent roadwork and single-lane closures at various locations in ‘Ele‘ele will occur through August 14, 2024. The scheduled roadwork is necessary for improvements to the existing sewer system.

Work hours are on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Affected roads include: Mehana Road, Ulaula Road, ‘Ele‘ele Road, Keokeo Road, Melemele Road, Akala Road, and Uliuli Road.

During construction, one lane will accommodate alternating traffic in the work zone and flaggers will be on site. No parking will be allowed in the work zones; however, access to properties will be provided.

Residents and motorists in the area are advised to expect brief and occasional delays during work hours. Please exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the area.
