Credit, debit card payments now accepted at Kaua‘i Department of Water office
The County of Kaua‘i Department of Water has installed a new, self-service credit and debit card payment kiosk in the main lobby of its Līhu‘e office.
“While DOW offers the online Ko’u Wai Customer Account Portal for debit, credit card and ACH payments, we cannot assume that all customers have access to a computer or smartphone,” said Department of Water waterworks controller Renee Yadao.
“This new addition to our Billing Services meets a longtime need and we are excited to provide the self-service kiosk to our walk-in customers, in addition to other payment options,” Yadao continued.
The payment kiosk is serviced by Prithibi Consulting and Development Services and allows customers to access their current water bill balance and make a payment with most major credit cards and debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo.
To use the self-service kiosk, customers will need to enter their account number, name and service address, followed by a credit or debit card payment. The transactions are quick and convenient, and a receipt is provided for each successful payment. Customers may still pay with cash or check at the Billing Services window with a Department of Water customer service representative.
The Department of Water’s Billing Services are available for walk-in payments, start/stop service requests and billing inquiries from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., business by phone and appointments for all other services are available from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, closed on holidays.
Online payments and 24-hour account access is available via the Department of Water’s Ko’u Wai Customer Account Portal at www.kauaiwater.org.
