Deadline to pay real property taxes approaching on Kaua‘i

The second installment of real property taxes for the 2023-24 tax year is due on Feb. 20.

Real property tax bills were mailed out on Jan. 19, 2024. For property owners who haven’t received a bill and don’t have a lender escrow/impound account, call the Real Property Collections Division at 808-241-4272.

Payments can be made online at kauairpt.ehawaii.gov, by mail, in person, or at the drop box located outside the Kapulē Building at the Līhu‘e Civic Center. Make checks payable to the Director of Finance.

No appointments are necessary to visit the Real Property Collections office.

Failure to pay real property taxes in full by the due date will result in a 10% penalty and will bear interest at the rate of 1% for each month (12% per year).
