Update at 9:12 a.m. Dec. 11: Because of staffing issues, repair work on the west approach of the Waimea River Ford Crossing is rescheduled to Dec. 18-22.

Original post from 4 p.m. Dec. 8: The public is advised of scheduled repair work on the west approach of the Waimea River Ford Crossing, from Dec. 11 to 22. Work hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This work is necessary to allow the Public Works Roads Division to repair and restabilize the west side approach that leads down to the Waimea River Ford Crossing, at the end of Menehune Road.

Access to the crossing will remain open during the duration of the project; however, please expect delays and additional travel time as crews work in the area.

Motorists are advised to follow all roadwork signs, flagger instructions, and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
