Pacific & Asian Affairs Council to begin accepting applications for Freeman Foundation Study Abroad Tour to Japan
On Dec. 4, the Pacific & Asian Affairs Council will begin accepting applications for its 2024 Freeman Foundation Study Abroad Tour to Japan.
This is the 20th year that the Pacific & Asian Affairs Council, a Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit dedicated to youth leadership development and fostering global mindsets, has provided this opportunity.
The organization has awarded $1.4 million in scholarships for 70 study tours to Japan, China, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, New Zealand and Tahiti. The trips foster friendship building,
provide enriching cultural activities, and emphasize hands-on learning.
The Pacific & Asian Affairs Council will choose up to 20 students to participate and encourages seasoned and first-time international travelers to apply. In past years, support from the Freeman Foundation has allowed the Pacific & Asian Affairs Council to award merit scholarships to most participants who demonstrate financial need and/or commitment to its programs.
