Kaua‘i garners industry award milestone, is showcased on national TV
The travel industry has bestowed award accolades upon the island of Kaua‘i, which – along with Lydgate Farms in Wailuā – has been prominently featured on a TV series on Max (formerly HBO Max).
Travel + Leisure has recognized the island of Kaua‘i as the World’s Best for 2023 based on their annual readers’ survey.
Every year, readers rate their own experiences from recent trips in 14 different categories including Islands. This year the Garden Isle earned the number one spot for Favorite Islands in Hawai‘i and was awarded the title of Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards among the 5 Favorite Islands in Hawai‘i of 2023.
Kaua‘i has also garnered other recognition including, Lydgate Farms, pioneers of cacao farming on Kaua‘i, being showcased on Max’s “What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel.”
Lydgate Farms is prominently featured in the new TV series that debuted earlier this year and is available for streaming on Max.
“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious achievement and screentime on national television. The accolade and recognition highlight why Kaua‘i is a timeless destination for travelers to discover and experience,” said Sue Kanoho, executive director of the Kaua‘i Visitors Bureau. “As holiday travel approaches, Kaua‘i is excited to welcome and showcase the Garden Island and its iconic natural beauty and warm aloha spirit.”
